Seams that have opened, lifted or lost their filler are cleaned out, re-bonded and color-filled so the joint is tight again.
What usually can’t be fully repaired
Heat and burn marks, and discoloration, are typically permanent. Quartz manufacturers warn that heat and harsh chemicals can permanently mark or discolor the surface: a scorch or yellowing is a change in the resin itself, not something sitting on top, so polishing rarely removes it. If a burn sits where you can’t live with it, replacing that section is often the real fix.
An honest word on color matching
A color-matched fill makes a chip far less noticeable. It is still a fill. How close it gets depends on the color and pattern of your countertop: solid and fine-speckled colors tend to blend well, while bold veining is harder to match, because a vein has to be carried through by hand. We tell you what to expect before we start.

These are the typical steps. Every chip is different, so we confirm the plan with you before any work starts.

Assess
From your photos or an in-home look, we check the size, depth and location of the damage, and whether a crack runs from it.

Clean
We clear out loose fragments, grease and any old filler so the repair bonds to sound material.

Color-match
We tint the repair resin against your countertop, working to its background color and pattern.

Fill and cure
The resin goes in slightly proud of the surface and is left to cure hard.

Level and polish
We cut the fill down flush, rebuild the edge profile where needed and polish it to blend with the sheen around it.
Repair or replace
Chip repair vs replacement
We also install new quartz, so we can quote either one and tell you which makes more sense.
A repair makes sense when the damage is local: a chip or two, a small surface pit, or a seam that has opened while the stone around it is sound.
It keeps your existing countertop in place. There is no backsplash to pull and no sink to disconnect, and your kitchen stays usable.
Replacing a section makes more sense when a crack runs across a piece, when the stone is broken through, when burn marks sit in the middle of your prep area, or when there are so many chips that fills would be everywhere. We can template and install new pieces, and we can help you look for a close match to your current color. On an older color an exact match isn’t always available, and we will say so up front.

Quartz chip repair questions
Can a chipped quartz countertop be repaired?
Yes, in most cases. The chip is cleaned out, filled with color-matched resin, cured, then leveled and polished flush with the surface. Chips at a seam or a sink cutout, or chips with a crack running from them, need a closer look before we quote.
Will the repair be noticeable?
