Silestone vs Caesarstone is a close match between two international brands. Silestone, made by Cosentino in Spain, now uses a low-silica HybriQ+ formula with recycled content and carries a transferable 25-year residential warranty. Caesarstone, which says it created quartz surfaces in 1987, offers a lifetime warranty to the original owner and an Outdoor Collection for outdoor kitchens.
Both brands offer solids, concrete looks and marble looks, and both need no sealing. The real differences are in the material, the warranty rules and outdoor use. Here is how they line up. For the wider field, see our best quartz countertop brands guide.

What Silestone and Caesarstone Are Made Of
What is Silestone made of today? Since 2023, Cosentino has made every Silestone color with its HybriQ+ process, blending minerals with recycled materials such as glass. Cosentino calls the result a mineral low-silica surface. Each color is labeled with a maximum crystalline silica content of 40% or 10%, and Cosentino says it contains at least 20% recycled material.
Caesarstone's quartz is a classic engineered quartz surface. The company has also added porcelain and other non-quartz materials to its range, sold under separate product names and warranties, so check which line a sample belongs to.
In your kitchen, both behave like quartz: nonporous, no sealing, easy cleaning. The formula matters most to the fabricators who cut the slabs, and to buyers who want recycled content.
Silestone vs Caesarstone Colors and Finishes
Silestone's range runs from solids and speckles to concrete looks and a large group of marble looks, including colored marbles that are hard to find elsewhere. Popular choices include Blanc Élysée, a cream-white with fine gold and gray veins, Jardin Emerald, a deep green marble look, and Raw D, a charcoal with bronze streaks. Finishes include Polished and a matte Suede.
Caesarstone's strength is its whites. Vivid White is its plainest white, Organic White adds subtle off-white layers, and Aterra Blanca has soft tan veining on misty white. Caesarstone offers polished, honed and textured finishes depending on the color.
For white marble looks across brands, see quartz that looks like marble. If you want a bold colored stone look, Silestone offers more. If you want a range of clean whites to compare side by side, Caesarstone does.
Silestone vs Caesarstone Warranty
Silestone: Cosentino warrants Silestone for 25 years for residential use from the date of purchase. The warranty is transferable and covers single-family and multi-family homes, but it is only fully valid when the project is registered on cosentino.com within 6 months of purchase and you keep the original invoice.
Caesarstone: the Residential Lifetime Warranty covers the original owner of a single-family residence when a Caesarstone Certified Fabricator does the work. You must register within 30 days of installation. A later owner can receive a prorated 10-year limited warranty from the installation date. Rentals are excluded from the residential warranty and fall under Caesarstone's commercial terms.
For a condo owner, Cosentino's explicit multi-family coverage is a practical advantage. For a single-family home you plan to keep, Caesarstone's lifetime term runs longer. Both exclude heat damage, chips and outdoor use of indoor product. See our quartz countertop warranty guide for the details.
Outdoor Kitchens: A Clear Difference
Silestone's warranty excludes exposure outside the building. Caesarstone sells an Outdoor Collection with its own 10-year residential limited warranty, including colors such as Palm Shade and Midday. For a lanai or poolside kitchen in Fort Lauderdale or Palm Beach County, that makes Caesarstone the brand with an outdoor option. Our outdoor countertops page covers the other materials we work with outside.
Silestone vs Caesarstone for Condos, Rentals and Bathrooms
South Florida has a lot of condos and seasonal rentals, and the two brands treat them differently.
- Condos you live in: Cosentino's residential warranty names multi-family homes. Caesarstone's residential document refers to single-family residences, so ask Caesarstone to confirm coverage for a condo in writing before you order.
- Rentals: Caesarstone moves rental property to its commercial warranty, which covers the product only. Silestone's residential letter is written for non-professional end users, and commercial use falls under separate terms, so ask Cosentino which terms apply if you rent the unit.
- Bathrooms: both brands work well on vanities. A 2 cm slab keeps weight down on a floating vanity, and Silestone's 1.2 cm option suits wall cladding and tub decks.
Before any condo job, also check your association's rules for work hours, elevator use and slab delivery. Our condo countertop installation guide walks through the approvals, and our bathroom vanity countertops page covers bath projects.
Heat Resistance and Care
Cosentino warns that hot pans and small appliances used directly on Silestone can cause scorching, dull areas and cracks, and recommends trivets. Caesarstone's care guide says to always place hot cookware on trivets and hot pads. Both clean with warm water and mild detergent. Our quartz cleaning guide lists the products to avoid.
Which Is Better: Silestone or Caesarstone?
- Lower crystalline silica and recycled content: Silestone.
- Condo coverage spelled out: Silestone.
- Longest residential term for an original owner: Caesarstone.
- Outdoor kitchens: Caesarstone, through the Outdoor Collection.
- Colored marble looks such as blue and green: Silestone.
If you are torn between one color from each brand, bring both samples home and look at them next to your cabinets in daylight and at night. The undertone that works with your room usually settles it faster than any spec sheet, and the warranty terms above can break a tie if you rent, own a condo or plan an outdoor kitchen.
Price depends on the color and the job more than the logo, so compare the slabs you like. Our quote calculator gives a quick estimate. If you are also weighing Cambria, read Cambria vs Silestone and Cambria vs Caesarstone.
