The material
Why engineered quartz
Roughly 90–95% natural quartz makes these surfaces hard and scratch-resistant, and the resin that binds it keeps them non-porous, so they don’t need sealing.
That core material is similar from brand to brand. What changes is the design library, slab sizes, finishes, price and each maker’s warranty terms. Learn more about quartz countertops, compare every countertop material, or estimate your quartz cost in a minute.
